Students during Industrial Visit to Hero Cycles
Ludhiana, September 01, 2017 (Tarvinder Kaur): Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana organised an industrial visit to production facility of the world largest manufacturer of Cycle "Hero Cycles" today. Forty five students of B.com III accompanied by two faculty members visited the manufacturing plant of bicycles.

The objective of the visit was to give industry exposure to students as a part of their course curriculum. Awasthi Sethi (General Manager) and Anil Jain (HR manager) made the students acquaint with the basics of production. Students practically experienced the concepts of Plant Layout, production, assembly line, quality checks and dispatch units at Hero Cycles.

The officials of company told students that how Hero Cycle became largest manufacturer of Cycles in India. It was an enriching learning experience for the students to visit one of the dynamic organisations in the global cycle industry and get knowledge of the operations of the organisations. The students thanked the department and the college for giving them the opportunity to widen their practical corporate knowledge which complements their curriculum.
