Guest with Children planting tree during Mega Tree Plantation Drive at Omaxe Royal Residency
Ludhiana, June 5, 2017 (Akash Sharma): Omaxe Limited, one of India’s leading real estate companies, today organized a mega tree plantation drive at Royal Residency, Ludhiana. The aim of the plantation drive was to create awareness regarding environmental issues and to encourage people to contribute towards a greener and sustainable planet.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation by a large number of Children. It was also distinguished personality like Kujit Singh Sibia (Retd. XEN), Kumar Dhawan, Vipin Jain, Samina, Minakshi Sharma (IAS Officer) and Rubina Marjara along with several other residents of Royal Residency, Ludhiana. The event was also attended by senior company officials including Manish Garg, Tervinder Singh and Pramod Gupta among others.

On this occasion, close to 100 children planted 200 saplings and took pledge to plant at least one sapling every year. They also took pledge to look after the saplings that they planted. Distinguished personalities as well as company officials also briefed children about the importance of environment and the role of tree plantation in ecological restoration. Besides, children were also briefed about other measures which they can adopt in their day to day life including efficient utilization of electricity, lesser use of motor vehicle etc.

Speaking on this noble initiative, Manish Garg, Business Head, Omaxe Ltd. said, “With ever rising pollution level, it is paramount for all of us to take urgent measures to save our environment. Today’s tree plantation drive was organized with the same purpose and I am extremely happy to witness such kind enthusiastic response from children for this initiative. I am sure this drive will not be limited to Royal Residency, Ludhiana and will be replicated elsewhere too. It is time that all of us should participate in such activities for the benefit of the county and for the sake of our future generation.”
