Students present during Orientation Programme organized by KCW
Ludhiana, July 27, 2017 (Online News Ludhiana): Internal Quality Assurance cell (IQAC) of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines Ludhiana organized an orientation programme for under-graduate and post-graduate students from July 25 to July 27, 2017 to mark the commencement of new session 2017-18.

Dr. Priyaka Khanna (Head, Department of Commerce) welcomed the students to the KCW family and introduced the students to life at the college covering all spheres i.e. academics, examinations, courses in the college, sports, student support services, Community Service programmes, rules and regulations and various clubs and committees constituted in the college. The students were acquainted to the history, vision, mission, culture and philosophy of the college which is a renowned premier postgraduate institution, engaged in the holistic development of women.

She also talked about various scholarship schemes and encouraged the students to gain benefit of the same. She highlighted the importance of value-based education that was being provided by the college and impressed upon them to maintain a high degree of discipline and decorum for a fruitful learning experience. She motivated the students to achieve all-round excellence and apprised them about the co-curricular activities organized in the college.

The orientation programme ended up with motivational videos which encouraged the students to adopt focused and disciplined approach in life for success. Shruti, web designer and secretary old student association was also invited on last day of orientation. She shared her views and experience of her college life and reminded students that they should feel privileged to be the part of this institute and make the college proud.

Principal of the college, Dr. Mukti Gill appreciated the efforts of IQAC coordinator Sarvjit Kaur for organizing such programme which would go a long way in understanding the academic environment of the college. She urged the students to become responsible citizens and put their best efforts to participate in the growth and development of the nation.
